Gov. Sanford signed SC H3006 into law on June 10 - and it went into effect June 10. none of this namby-pamby "wait until next January" crud like New Hampshire. i'd like to see a side-by-side comparison of the two laws; both have increased motorist responsibility, but the new SC law has also increased cyclist responsibility. for example, the NH law requires cyclists to wear "at least one" piece of reflective clothing - the SC law requires actual
lights, visible from 500 feet in front and 50 to 300 in the rear. but it's nice to see, anyway.
