What are your thoughts? Can the Pats continue their pursuit of perfection? Can the Giants continue their miracle run through the playoffs? Is there a new Manning in town? It all goes here. I will be giving first person updates of the crowds and the festivities here because I will be in the middle of them!

I look forward to reading about the madness that will going on in AZ. If I had to make a score prediction I would say Pats 76 Giants 3!

I have to admit, i only recently found out that eli and peyton manning are white, not african american. i have no idea why i thought they were black, i just did. my guess is that that means that i am approximately as qualified to utter opinions about this context as the average sports fan. :-)

As much as I hate to admit it, I think the Patriots are going to blow out the Giants, but we can hope for a miracle and that it might at least be a close game :-)

Why do you hate to admit it?

Is this a simple case of people just not liking the winners or are people mad at then for the stupid videotaping stuff?

Or is it also the idea that they don't play fair in some other way?

I tihnk it is a case of the Patriots dominating every team this year and have been dominating the past 5 years and now everyone hates them

Kind of like how everyone except Yankees fans hated the Yankees for so long because they dominated or the Cowboys

People always root for the underdog and love the underdog, but once that underdog is no longer an underdog and starts to dominate, somewhere in between they become hated

Anyone who posts a Pats link prefaced by the query "What are your thoughts?" sounds more like a college professor than a football fan...

  • todd Jan 31, 2008

That's not a pats link, is it? It looks just like a superbowl logo.

  • cbop88 Jan 31, 2008

It's a link to the super bowl website, not a patriots link...but a college professor is well educated usually has a PhD...I'll take sounding like a college professor

Pats 38 (again)---Giants 6. Superbowls are won with defense and, as offensive as you might find him, Belichick is a defense guy. On the other hand, nothing can stop the Pat's offense except cold and wet and it's going to be very pleasant in AZ.

well, I was wrong -- the giants didn't win it by seven

All I can say is... wow!

this is why sports are so captivating and compelling. if you are a sports fan in general and not just a pats fan, you can take comfort in that the giants were the better team.

The Giants earned it for sure. You can tell they did their homework. No matter who you were rooting for, it was a very well played game by both sides, and for once we had a Super Bowl that was fun to watch.

The super bowl loss was very bitter sweet. There was David Tyree making arguably the best catch in Super Bowl history to go along with his touchdown against my beloved Pats. On the other hand, David Tyree is a Syracuse boy, my alma mater and it was great to see him finally make a name for himself.

    That being said. Go Celtics!
