damn you! It's great how he assumes that living longer-or even indefinitely-is desirable. grrrr.
Even if he only extended peoples life by 50-100%, imagine all the ramifications that would have on society, the economy, not to mention environment.
If I retire at 70, then live to 150, that is going to be a problem for my current retirement plans.

if they "turned off" aging-related death overnight, it would change people's perception toward (1) risk and (2) war
would people do more hang-gliding and bungee jumping, or less, knowing that they were gambling with more chips?
