Cambridge researcher Aubrey de Grey argues that aging is merely a disease -- and a curable one at that. Humans age in seven basic ways, he says, all of which can be averted.

damn you! It's great how he assumes that living longer-or even indefinitely-is desirable. grrrr.

Even if he only extended peoples life by 50-100%, imagine all the ramifications that would have on society, the economy, not to mention environment.

If I retire at 70, then live to 150, that is going to be a problem for my current retirement plans.

Found a wiki article on it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Denial_of_Death Honestly, mortality is one of my biggest motivators. I always think about what I will regret not doing in the end, rather than worrying about what I will regret having done.

the good news: you can live forever. the bad news: we all have to grow a really long beard.
