Many people fight the spread of invasive plants, trying to restore woods, yards, and other areas with plants to a state they were in before the introduction of non-native plants. But how do we know which species we should not plant or which species to pluck? The Invasive Plant Atlas of New England serves as such a guide for one region of the United States. It includes photographs, scientific and common names, and a variety of information about the plants.

Pictured is Chelidonium majus L. or Celandine, a plant included on the list that I found in my yard.
